Morrisville, NC

Once a tiny railroad town during the Civil War, Morrisville might still be small, but is now home to one of the most well-known high-tech research and development parks in the US!  Population 28,846


  • Research Triangle Park
    “Research Triangle Park is a community of more than 55,000 employees and more than 300 companies” including CISCO, IBM, Biogen, GlaxoSmithKline, and more.  A huge draw to the area, these “companies and universities perform $6 billion in combined annual research  expenditures (includes Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, NC State University, RTI International, the US EPA, and the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences).”
  • Raleigh-Durham International Airport
    RDU Airport features “passenger service to 68 cities with typically over 450 average daily departures” to international and continental destinations. Easily accessible from local highways, it is one of the biggest airports in North Carolina.
  • Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center
    Three aquatic spaces, cardio deck, weight room, group fitness classes, racquetball and tennis courts
  • Park West Village
    The largest shopping center in Morrisville, with tons of shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, and much more! Be sure to check out fun events such as weekly live music and the Annual East Meets West Festival.


  • Lake Crabtree County Park
    “Located adjacent to a 520-acre flood control lake, visitors can enjoy outdoor opportunities including mountain biking, fishing, boating, picnicking, hiking and nature study.”
  • Triangle Rock Club
    This 27,000+ square foot facility “began as a vision of two former Force Recon Marines”. Highlights include “walls that span to 55-feet (the biggest and tallest in the five nearest states)” and “a 6,000+ square ft. high, freestanding, top-out bouldering”! Enjoy rock climbing, yoga, & other fitness.
  • Church Street Park
    Playground, walking trails, picnic shelters, tennis courts, and a multi-purpose field frequently used as a cricket pitch!
  • Indian Creek Trailhead
    The Morrisville side of this trail features a playground and is home to local events such as the Annual Tree Lighting.


Apple (East Coast Campus)

Huge News– announced in Spring 2021, Apple is coming to the Research Triangle Park! Over 3,000 jobs will be created between 2023 and 2032. The company also states they will be investing $1 billion into North Carolina through his project. “The addition of Apple further strengthens the Triangle as one of the country’s leading high-tech and life science hubs. The Raleigh-Durham metro is already home to IBM’s largest campus, Raleigh-based Red Hat, which is part of IBM, and other high-profile firms such as Lenovo (the world’s top PC seller and a global leader in supercomputers), Cree, Oracle, Cisco and NetApp.”


  • Neomonde Mediterranean
    Since 1977, Neomonde has been one of the top places for Mediterranean cuisine in the Triangle area. Now they’ve expanded to three locations and a catering business!
