  • Cary Arts Center
    Community Festivals and Events of All Kinds, Gallery Exhibitions, a 400+ Seat Theatre, Local Arts Classes & Open Studio Programs, & Rental Space
  • WakeMed Soccer Park
    “WakeMed Soccer Park is now the home to North Carolina FC of theUnited Soccer League and the North Carolina Courage of theNational Women’s Soccer League.  The NC State Wolfpack men’s and women’s teams of the ACC play select matches there and the complex regularly hosts major tournaments such as the NCAA College Cup, the ACC Soccer Championships, and the NCHSAA high school state soccer finals.”
  • Crossroads Plaza
    Cary is home to many open-air shopping areas, but Crossroads Plaza is always buzzing with activity.  Petco, Old Navy, Best Buy, American Eagle, Hobby Lobby, movie theater, and a nearby Target… plus over 20 spots for dining, this is a super easy to-do list !
  • Koka Booth Amphitheater
    A one-of-a-kind performing arts venue that seats 7,000 people. Nestled on the edge of Symphony Lake, this venue blends into the natural surroundings and is an ideal place for a night out!
  • The Cary Theater
    Originally the town’s first indoor movie theater in the 1940’s, The Cary has recently been  renovated into “a multi-use cultural facility with a focus on digital arts, including film, and youth & amateur theater & music.”
  • Town of Cary Parks
    Cary offers 34 Parks on 2,688 acres of land, which include playgrounds, picnic shelters, boating and fishing areas, nature trails, sports facilities, a sprayground, and skate parks. It’s difficult to choose just one favorite. Be sure to check out some of our highlighted parks below!

 


 

PARKS & PLACES TO PLAY

  • Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park
    Multiple playground areas including a small area for younger children, an accessible large play area equipped for children of all needs and abilities, hiking trails, picnic shelters, and even a dragon sculpture built into a hill!
  • Fred G. Bond Metro Park
    The largest park in Cary includes a lake, rental boats, athletic and playground areas, paved and unpaved trails, picnic spots including a boathouse with rocking chairs, an amphitheater and more.
  • North Cary Park
    Known for it’s 8 foot climbing boulders, North Cary also features multiple playgrounds, beach volleyball courts, picnic shelters, paved trails, and athletic courts and fields.
  • Jack Smith Park
    Home to the town’s first sprayground! Also has a large playground, a 10 foot climbing boulder, a picnic shelter and a 2 acre dog park.

 


 

NOTABLY COMING SOON

  • Epic Games Headquarters
    Widely known as the creators of the video game Fortnite, this technology and gaming company bought the former Cary Towne Center Mall location in 2020. They plan to turn this space into their main offices, and have proposed “as much as 3.5 million square feet of office space, 75,000 square feet of other commercial space, and a 200-room hotel[…]” to be built in the next few years!
  • Downtown Park Project
    Construction has already begun on this much anticipated seven acre park! “The park will feature a ‘great lawn’ and unique, tiered water feature. The lawn will be fronted by a pavilion and interspersed around the lawn will be a series of unique spaces, or ‘rooms’, linked by paved walking trails. Additional features include performance places, market spaces, public art incorporated into the landscape, food and beverage facilities, a children’s play area, interactive water features, a dog play area, and walkways for strolling and relaxing.”

    Located in the Umstead Hotel and Spa, Heron’s is a stand out for their fine dining menu. This AAA Five Diamond award-winning restaurant features American food with a Southern inspiration at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Totopos Street Food & Tequila
    “Modern-rustic joint for Mexican street food, clever margaritas & select tequilas, with craft beer.” Great ambiance and portion size, what more can you ask in a Mexican restaurant?

    This small, family-owned Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant is always on Cary restaurant Top Ten lists. No matter what made-from-scratch dish you order, you can’t go wrong… be sure to check out their Sunday Specials!
  • Bond Brothers Beer Company
    “A group of brewers competing in local and regional home brew competitions” who decided to go commercial. This family and dog friendly brewery welcomes local food trucks, and is known for their craft brews, snacks, and social events… and now a second location in East Cary!
